Summer Kayaking Jobs 2022

A number of local companies approach the club every year looking for instructors and guides kayaking.

Company:Summer Camps
Hours: 10:00 - 16:00, but will be needed to prepare and tidy before and after these hours, will be paid an extra hour for this.
Time: May until September
Pay: Probably minimum, open to negotiation.
Activities: Basic flatwater paddling with children
Location: Kilmurry Beach#

Requirement: Level 3 Skills, Level 2 Instructor helpful

Company: Nevsail
Hours: Full-time / part-time
Time: Weekends until semester ends then full time for summer.
Pay: €10-12 an hour with a bonus for good tripadvisor reviews.
Activities:Guided sit on top tours through Limerick City.
Location: Limerick City

Company: UL Sport / ULAC
Hours: Full-time / part-time
Time: Instructors for ULAC, 4th-8th April,26th-29th April in Killaloe, 0915-1700
On campus kayaking, probably with schools, Wednesdays of 27th April - 25th May, 1400-1630ish
Pay: Probably minimum or above
Activities: Basic kayaking and summer camps
Location: Campus and Killaloe

Notes: Once summer comes they will be looking for full time staff for Killaloe. Have mentioned that they may run level 1,2 and 3 assessments as well as instructor course if there is demand.

Time: Instructors for July and August
Pay: Not mentioned
Activities: Kayaking, Windsurfing and Sailing

Role: We are looking for energetic individuals who may wish to develop their instructor skills delivering outdoor education classes to international children, everything from fire lighting and shelter building to climbing and archery - all whilst spending an incredible summer season in the Swiss Alps.

Timeline and pay: The roles would start in May, with full training given at the start of the season. Accommodation and food are included for the summer as well as a salary of around 300 EUR per week.
