Abbey River Race Hells Gate

Hi Lads,
I am trying to organise a race down the Abbey by Hell's Gate during Riverfest maybe on Saturday the 28th. I am looking for people who have more experience with races than me to help run the race and other to participate.
There will be a public BBQ at the get out and I am in talks with the Treaty City Beer company for sponsorship (likely free beer as prizes) they areluching a new beer called Hell's Gate.
Suggestions, help all welcome. I was asked to sort out a free style event on Gower too but no one seems to be around.
