Hey guys Image

Does anyone know anything about paddling in Spain ?
There’s a new ferry route from Cork to Sanatander :

I know the Spanish Pyrenees are well known but never heard of anyone going there Image

Just wondering if it would be a possibility for the club some time Image

Worth looking into definitely. Had heard before that the club went to the Pyrenees instead of the alps one year a good while back. Not sure who’s era that was in though.

Yeah, I checked last time I was in Spain and one of the best places to go is Noguera Pallaresa, is very well connected and with camping facilities, there are also rivers worth looking and relatively close, Rio Ara and Rio Bujaruelo for example, found a few interesting videos:

The drive is 6h 50mins roughly , depending on where you’re going obviously
Which isn’t terrible Image

We looked into the Pyrenees a few years ago but never went. I got a book on all of the different runs if anyone would like it to do some research.

From what I can tell of what I've seen from the pyrenees, seems like a really cool spot for a small group on an advanced trip but not as reliable as the alps plus missing the variety of types and levels of rivers, could definitely get behind different ideas for club trips and the pyrenees is merber an option but not sure it's as suitable as the alps
