Save the date, April 15th – 16th we’re going on an adventure! Early Saturday morning we’ll set road to Killarney for our Annual Easter weekend island camping trip. We’ll be tourists from the water and explore the scenery of Lough Leane for the day. Saturday evening we’ll be setting up camp on Bear Island followed by a night of campfire shenanigans. Sunday morning we’ll paddle our way down the lake to finish at Ross Castle in the early afternoon.

If you’d like to challenge your inner Bear Grylls and join us on this trip, you will need to supply the following:
• Sleeping bag
• Bivvy bag
• Food
• Beer
• Banter
• Cooking gear

All kayaking gear can be club stuff. Everything you bring must be able to fit into your kayak, so you will need to pack light! If you have a tent small enough to fit into your kayak; great, but if not some creativity of making shelter with a bivvy bag or tarp might be necessary. Anyone interested should know themselves what they need to bring when going to stay on an island for a night in April.

The club will cover full fuel cost, so this trip is completely free to go on. Please sign up using the link below if you are DEFINITELY going. https://goo.gl/forms/6Noca7iQluTbqNG22

Can someone confirm I signed up? My phone had a spaz attack when I submitted the Google doc.

There wasn't any last year it was just standard hands on first gets whatever.

For now we'll do the same unless anyone has any objections and until we know the final numbers.

If it changes we'll let people know.
