Waterfest 2016 - Kayak assistance

Hi Club Secretaries,

Could you pass this on to your members to see if anyone is around to help swim Ireland out with the below event in Coosan point, Athlone on the 7th August 2016?

Based on the entries we’ve received so far we are going to need at least 20 kayakers. We will be able to give each kayaker (or to the club) €15 for their trouble as well as provide them with food after the races.
They are running their National 5K and 10K championships in Coosan Point, Athlone on Sunday 7th August. They are looking for some kayak support for this (ideally they would like one kayaker for every person doing the 10K and one for every two people doing the 5K). They would mainly be acting as safety support and spotters. On the same day, they will also be running a mile and half mile participation swim so support on the water is needed as a lot of the participants may not have swum open water before.
