Usual place to have one place to see the current water levels:

Interactive map of Alpine river levels: http://www.rivermap.ch/map.html#sprache ... 120&zoom=9
Webcam : Argentiere slalom site webcam: http://82.127.30.208/view/viewer_index.shtml?id=764
Webcam : Ubaye at the get on for the Racecourse: http://www.ubaye.com/webcam-riviere-uba ... fting.html
Webcam : Soca at Nova Goricia: http://www.whatsupcams.com/en/webcams/s ... ak-center/

Currently (Sunday 14th) the melt has just started in France, nothing happening in Italy and the Soca has been crazy high.
  • The Ubaye is high at 43 cumec (on-grade at about 20-30) and the volume has about doubled in the past 2 days.
  • The Durance a little above normal at 103 cumec, up from ~50 3 days ago. (On-guage at 60-80 cumec)
  • The Sesia is pretty much dry for all the runs suitable for us at 55cm in Campertogno. (useful at 0.9-1.0 m)
  • The Soča is high at 60 cumec after reaching 120 cumec yesterday. (On-guage at 25-30 cumec)
The weather forecast for the Alps over the next week suggests that the levels won't change much from this as the weather is forecast to be cooler than usual and damp, not enough rain to raise the rivers from rainfall and not hot enough for the snowmelt to raise the rivers above their current levels.
  • Val Sesia looks to have temps of highs 11-16 lows 4-9 degrees and sunny spells so colder than we've usually experienced there, so the little snow that is there is not likely to be significantly melting at any upcoming stage. Looks like a low and slow melt there for late May. Simon W says the nights are still too cold for the melt to happen.
  • The Durance valley will have highs 17-23 degrees lows 7-12 degrees with broken clouds and moderate chance of dampness, so fairly typical if slightly cooler and less sunny than usual.
  • The Soča valley looks at this point (extended forecast so YMMV) to be damp/rainy for the week 2 with temps of highs 18-21 and lows 7-12.
